Meet the Authors
Phil Herndon
Phil Herndon is the clinical director of Tin Man Ministries, an internationally recognized organization that disciples and equips leaders to fulfill their calling to their vocation, their family, and to God. Tin Man exists to “wash the feet of those who wash feet,” and Phil’s work is to serve these men and women as they serve others. In his role at Tin Man, Phil provides training and development for Tin Man coaches and staff as they serve those who contact Tin Man for help. He was a pastor at North Ft. Worth Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, for twelve years, has served in leadership in several churches, and currently serves as an elder in his church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
After graduating from Northeastern Oklahoma State University with a B.A. in Psychology, Phil received his M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling and an M.A. in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is working toward his doctorate from Liberty University. He is a licensed professional counselor, a nationally certified counselor, and brings over thirty-two years of experience to the clinical setting.
He now lives in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with his wife, Sheila.
Jeff Schulte
Jeff Schulte is the founder of numerous non-profit ministries with global reach, including Leader2Leader and Tin Man Ministries, each birthed as an outgrowth of his own personal journey and passion to invest deeply in the lives of leaders. Jeff is also the founder of Tin Man Co. (www.tinman.co), an executive coaching firm that mentors high-capacity leaders, helping them integrate their head, hands, and heart by expanding their emotional intelligence (EQ).
In addition to Emotions Unveiled, Jeff is the best-selling author of two Gold Medallion award-winning resources, with several million copies in print. Formerly a pastor and church planter, Jeff is a licensed professional counselor, received his Th.M. and M.Div. with highest honors from Western Seminary, an M.A. in Counseling from Liberty University, and is a graduate of Yale University, where he majored in organizational behavior, sociology, and religious studies.
Jeff and his wife, Brenda, have been married for thirty-nine years. They are the parents of six children, grandparents of nine (and counting), and reside near Nashville, Tennessee.
